Toyota has 35 percent share of the Saudi market, according
to an article published in Arab News in March 2016. Toyota is one the oldest
and most trusted automobile brands in the country. It boasts of a large number of

The Hilux 2016 comes in three engine variants, the 2.0 litre
and 2.7 litre petrol engines, as well as the all new 2.4 litre powerful diesel
variant. The 2.0 litre variant is only available with rear wheel drive, while
the other two can be chosen in either four-wheel or two-wheel drive.
The TR engine has been enhanced. The 2.7 litre engine is mated
with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox. It produces a
maximum power output and torque of 164hp and 245Nm, respectively. This engine
is known to offer 10 percent more fuel efficiency than the previous TR engine.
The new 4 cylinders Global Diesel engine, which features
Toyota’s 4D4 technology, is mated with 6-speed manual and automatic transmission
gearbox options. It is capable of generating maximum output of 147 hp and
torque of 400Nm. The 2.4 litre diesel engine is also available with a 5-speed
manual transmission gearbox, which has the capability of generating maximum
torque of 343Nm. The improved spring leaf suspension and shock absorbers have
enhanced then vehicle’s off-road performance while adding to the comfort of the
drive.
The new version of the pickup boasts an edgy and tough
exterior, with sturdy bumpers. It comes in two body styles, the 2-door pickup
and the 4-door pickup. As for the interiors, it comes with a stylish instrument
panel that gives a metallic edge to the décor. The audio system, with the electrostatic
multi-touch control panel, the 4WD changeover and luxury seats give it a more luxurious
feel than ever before. The truck is fitted with a USB connection, CD, AUX, SD
card, Bluetooth, hands free and 6 speakers.
Safety features includes airbags (both for the driver and
front passenger), knee airbag for the driver, ABS (anti-locking brake system),
electronic break-force distribution, emergency locking retractor (ELR), seat
belts and an alarm system. For
convenience and comfort, it has keyless entry, start engine button, power
locks, power windows, steering wheel controls and automatic AC.
